My last performance ever... well... until my next one.
Finally! I did my performance for the public degree show at Howard Gardens today in the afternoon. My last ever performance for this series- and maybe my last performance after a while. I have to say that even if I had done the same performance four times before the very last one, I was still nervous, even nauseous, as I was waiting for the audience to make their way into the space workshop. And I'm sick of the performance routine, really.

I was not expecting a huge applause, though; nor did I expect the shuffling sound of many footsteps; so I was very happy with how the piece turned out. But despite that, I kind of wished that some of the people I'd invited had stayed on to see the other pieces because I think they're really good and these people were missing out. But I guess if they didn't care so much about what matters to me- then I cannot do anything much about it.
Oh, by the way, before I forget- Amelia has come to stay for the week! YAY! She came here two days ago; a few hours after the External Examiners' Show. I did not feel like going home after the event, so I hung round the city centre and about 45 minutes before her train arrived, I waited at Starbucks in Borders'; where John Prescott did a talk about his autobiography at the time. I didn't see him personally, though. I wasn't too appealed with the idea of maintaining a large body figure by throwing up my food after every meal. I had other things to worry about... like finishing my hazelnut hot chocolate and carrot cake; I love food!
Speaking of food, Jay, Mel and I went to Pizza Express yesterday and I had a dish of Cannelloni. YUM!
Now back to today's story; after looking at most of the artwork presented, Jay, Mel and I felt very hungry so we went to town to get something to eat. We had wanted to go to the 1/4 Brewery building for lunch, but people were queuing everywhere; and it would be about 20 minutes to get a table. We then thought about going to the Bay to eat but after seeing that we didn't have change for the bus, we decided to stay in town instead; and I made up my mind to eat at Chicken Cottage after Jay had used the men's room at Burger King, where I could see mummies, daddies and little kiddies munch on fresh burgers and chips...
After lunch we just browsed through a few shops in town, and after seeing enough, went back to my house.
Oh and for the sake of being random, Jay bought a copy of the Beautiful Katamari game! I'm so excited! Fun rolling, here we go!
